Please follow our candle care guide to get the most out of your Wickery Lux Candle
The first burn
When lighting your soy candle for the first time, burn the candle until the wax melts across the entire surface as this will prevent tunneling & create an even burn.
This can take 3-6 hours but we promise it will make your candle last longer
Trimming wicks
We recommend trimming your wick before every light (except the first, as we have done that for you).
Trimming the wick to 5-6mm will avoid mushrooming of the wick, which can result in soot and unsightly black marks on your jars.
Trimming will also control the size of the flame allowing you to get the most out of your Wickery Lux candle
Where to burn
Keep candles away from sunlight and heat sources. Candles will lose their scent and may discolour in direct sunlight. Keep your candle away from windy spaces as draughts decrease the burn time and cause an uneven burn
Clean burn
If soot forms on the inside of your jar, extinguish the candle, wait for the jar to cool, then wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth. Trim wick and relight

Keep the wax pool free of wax trimmings, matches and debris at all times to keep the wax clean
Burn times
We recommend never burning a candle for more than 4 hours at a time. After 4 hours carbon will collect on the wick and it will begin to mushroom. This can cause the wick to become unstable, the flame to get too large and your candle could start to smoke and release smoke into the air
Time to say goodbye
It is very important that candles are not burnt when there is less than 10mm of wax remaining in the jar. We know it is tempting to continue burning your candle but we strongly advise against this. The flame needs a solid base of wax to avoid overheating the jar
Returns Policy
Unhappy with your item? We promise to refund any item you are not completely happy with, within 14 days of your order being delivered to you. Your item must be returned to us in it’s original packaging, unused and in a saleable condition.

Please note, it is the buyer's responsibility to pay for returns postage, and shipping costs are non-refundable. We also recommend taking care to wrap fragile items carefully, as we are unable to process returns for items that are damaged on their journey back to us.
This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.
